By working together, our therapists bring a multidisciplinary perspective to the assessment process, offering:
assessing sensory processing, functional skills and communication.
You’ll receive a detailed written report and a feedback session with both clinicians. During this session a recommended programme of support, tailored to your child’s strengths and needs will be discussed with you. Guidance will be given on which professional is best placed to lead therapy, based on your family's priorities and goals.
*A joint assessment is not recommended if you are looking for reports to contribute to an Education, Health and Care plan. In this instance it is recommended to have to separate assessments and reports.
We also complete joint OT and SLT intervention, and link with schools (as agreed as plan of action). We find this MDT approach works really well and keeps everyone accountable for what your young person is working towards.
